To: national presidents and the pipe smokers of the CIPC community -
From: the CIPC president. Regarding: up-date information and actions
newsletter 15 / Spring 2021.

Dear national CIPC presidents and other pipe smokers friends around the world,

With this SPRING newsletter I would like to draw the attention of the CIPC international pipe smokers community to communicate a couple of important items.
First of all I’m hoping everything is still fine with you and your loved ones in this very strange times. Last autumn lots of people had the idea that the Covid-19 virus was slowing down but unfortunately a third wave is now going around the world. With great regret (after a strong discussion with our CIPC Board members) we must postpone our CIPC event in Istanbul for the second time. The global situation is still unclear and unsafe. For our friends in Turkey it is impossible to organize the CIPC Championship with 300 participants or more. But our intentions remains to have our European and World Cup for teams Championships in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, called ISTANBUL. Please inform asap. all your friends / pipe club members of this news and hoping for better times in 2022.
Another important question is: what about 2023? In other words, which country would like to organize the CIPC World (individual) Championship in the year 2023? Please let us (our S.G. mr. Mark Dyer and myself) know if you have any suggestions and, better still, interested parties / candidates! Please come forward / let us know asap.!
Of course I hope the special Spheres magazine drew your attention. It was a nice way to show the world that the CIPC celebrate (low profile, waiting for better times in ISTANBUL) its 50th anniversary in 2020. A small number of copies can still be ordered online through the Spheres website / contact our S.G. mr. Mark Dyer for more details.
Finally, a BIG compliment for “NITRA” organizing the first video pipe smokers Corn Cob competition / Google meeting on the first day of April with participants from 10 countries. It shows that our pipe smokers community is a strong and creative world wide organization!

WISH all my pipe smoker friends around the world: STAY SAFE & HEALTHY!!!
Cornelius C.N. Crans MA. - CIPC president

Strong advice: please, do not keep this information for yourself but share it as much as possible.
